Always Here is operated by Kayla Alcazar (“we”, “us”, “our”), who is the data controller for the personal information collected through the app. You can reach us at any time through the support contact in the app.
We collect your name and email address, your login credentials, the memories you create (voice recordings, videos, photos, letters and notes), your loved ones’ names and email addresses, your notification preferences, and basic usage and device data (such as IP address and device identifiers) needed to run and secure the app. We do not sell your personal information.
Your data is used to create and maintain your account, provide and secure the service, deliver scheduled memories to your loved ones, provide customer support, and improve the app. We encrypt stored memories and use trusted payment and cloud providers to process transactions and store data.
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the vault and deliveries), based on our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and improving it), with your consent (optional features such as notifications and marketing), and to meet legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records).
We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the app: our cloud hosting and storage provider, and Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, manages subscriptions, handles tax compliance and invoicing for purchases. We may also share data with professional advisers (legal, accounting) and with authorities where required by law. We do not share your memories with advertisers.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your memories and personal data are permanently erased after a 30-day grace period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
You can access, edit or delete your memories and account at any time from within the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us if you need help with a data request — we respond within one month.
We use encryption in transit and at rest, strong access controls, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
We use only essential cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and run the app. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
